Sometimes He is Silent

Lately I have received a number of emails from concerned readers who wanted to know why I have not posted in the last couple of weeks. Some of you fear something has happened to me, or that I have fallen into some kind of sin or other problem. But the truth is, sometimes the Lord is silent for a time. He was silent for a couple of weeks after the President made the announcement that Israel needed to return to its pre-1967 borders and He has been silent the last few weeks as well. We don't always know why.

I just wanted to let you all know that nothing is wrong, He is just not speaking much right now. He has spoken to me on personal issues, but has not given me anything to post here on the Wings site.

Almost every other person I know who flows in the prophetic said they are experiencing the same thing right now.

I continue to go before Him and seek a word of direction for us. Hopefully He will tell us more soon. My experience has been that when He isn't speaking anything new, continue doing the last thing He told you.

God bless you all and thank you for your concern and your prayers, I just wanted to give you all an update.

  1. Romans 12:5-8 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
    Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
    Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness

    --I like that.

I actually suspected you were just fine, Glynda, and that there just wasn't anything new from Him for whatever reason. God will speak when He will speak--in that perfect timing, and all we can do then here is be found ready for the next time! :) God bless you.

  3. My friend Loretta wrote me after I posted this and said the Lord spoke this to her:

He is grieving over what is happening-people not listening - not praying for Israel and her people.

  4. Dear Glynda,

The Lord has given us so many messages already....the way
of PURITY and to be Prayer Intercessors is OUR assignment
now. God has mercifully and graciously called us to this task, Brothers and Sisters. Do we really care enough for others to Pray for their Salvation? I hope & pray we do. Please tell OTHERS about this wonderful/sobering website.

  7. Glynda, I have noticed a shifting around in people's lives. Maybe God is working more in the physical realm of people's lives to try them and see if they will wake up to things they can physcially see. It seems as though there is loss of interest in hearing the truth of His words than there was before. I don't know, but just wondering if maybe this is the calm before the storm. Much love and peace to you....Tread

  8. Glynda,
Thanks so much for being Faithful to God's Calling on your life! Not having new messages so often has caused me to go back and review the messages ALREADY given.
They are truly powerful, and I am
sharing them with fellow believers. Our intercessory prayers and individual repentance CAN make a difference. I thank the Lord for His Love and Mercy!

  10. Opinion - Thank you - others are telling me they are also feeling disconnected, and feeling sort of an uneasiness as if something is about to happen. I hope this silent period ends soon. I pressed in this morning asking for a word of direction for us, but He is still silent for now. I did, however, sense Him more than the last few weeks. I will keep pressing in, hopefully we will hear something soon. Blessings to you, Opinion - thanks for sharing this with us! ~ Glynda

  11. Glynda.

I went through a period of constant repentance for our nation and any hidden sins in my own life. Then the feeling of a void came. Maybe that is what the whole world is feeling, sort of, what is going to happen next! You mentioned in one of the prophecies that God is going to visit every house in the nation as well as the world. I believe that is happening. In the Song of Solomon 2:9 it say's "LOOK ! there He stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice".NIV
Also in the Song of Solomon 5:6 it says I opened to my beloved;but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but could not find him; I called him,but he gave me no answer.
God will speak when he is finished watching us to see what we will do. He has pulled away, but has not left us. He is watching!

  12. Thanks for the message Glynda but I personally was not concerned, and I fully understand what you are saying. I totally agree with you also that if God gives us a new word it can distract from some of the previous ones that He has given which could be more important during this time. He has been really dealing with me lately to die to self and making sure I have forgiveness toward others. It is good to hear from you again regardless if you have a word to post. May our Lord richly bless you!

  13. I have a word for this hour. It is not going to matter. That is what I keep hearing over and over all this month. I believe enough has been spoken over the last couple years it is in the hearing and doing that many are failing at. The hour is late and there is nothing that has not been said. So I keep hearing It is not going to matter. What is going to happen is going to happen and God has warned many so they could avoid much that is about to happen. Many think God is doing these things the truth is He has been sending many to speak warnings that sin it self has become full grown and about to break out in ways most have no idea about. God has done all He will do through the cross and the Spirit of His Son a faliure on Mans part and those who call them selves the church is the problem. But guess what it is not going to matter now. Grab hold of some carpet and get ready for a bumpy ride if you have been depending on men instead of the Spirit of God. Many will be amazed at who is standing when that smoke clears. The waiting is over people.

  15. Hello Glynda and you are most welcome sister.

  16. Hi Glynda,
Thank you for your post today, as I noticed there was a silence from you for awhile & that was fine, For sure, when God wants to speak, He will, so there is a reason for this quiet period & it may coincide w/ what is going on in the heavenlies. I also noticed a silence from the Lord re: any word for the Body of Christ thru me these past few wks.as well. I understand & I do think that the Lord God has spoken richly to us thru the years. He is now preparing us for what lies ahead & we need to cleave to Him as never before so that we KNOW what His directions are for EACH one of us in the dark days ahead. I, along w/ others, sense that uneasiness, as though waiting to see what judgments He has for AMERIKA-BABYLON, as well as globally, particularly at this time in our lives & for the rest of this year & into 2012 & beyond.

I prize what the Lord has spoken to me all along the way b/c His words are spirit & life, yet at the same time, I realize that I/we must be ready to move into whatever new season of renewed mind & heart & spirit that He is requiring. May the Living God strengthen us all & keep us close to Him as we press our ear against His Heart & stand by & with Him.

  17. David, You are absolutely right. Matter doesn't really matter anymore. All has been said that is going to be said. Now He will do what needs to be done.

  18. God has been speaking to me on a regular basis. He has also answered all of my prayers and has performed some small miracles for me as well. God is truly awesome! As I watch the events of the world, my heart tells me that Jesus is coming soon. There is so much happening, that is impossible to keep up with it. Our world is in utter chaos, and folks don't seem to care. Actually, people are sleeping. I am wondering if something "Stupendous" is about to take place in a very short while? I am feeling an urgency of dread. I have spoken to some other folks and they, too, are saying that they feel this urgency to. I, too, am feeling a much greater need to pray and confess my sins more and more now. There is a great need to keep very close to God. About two to three weeks ago, I was deeply impressed to read Psalm 91 everyday. Something in my mind said, "Read Psalm everyday from now on. And read it from the KJV. At first I sort of let it run around in my head, and ignored the thought. Then a few days later, the impression was back with more urgency. I took heed and listened to the "still small voice" and began reading Psalm 91 everyday. Yesterday, I said to myself, "Oh! maybe it is just me, and not really the Lord speaking to me." Not more than five minutes later, I sat down to read my Bible. To my amazement, my Bible opened to Psalm 91. My eyes went directly to the Psalm 91 chapter. I did not need another sign from God. He let me know right then and there, that He was was the "One" that was speaking to me. I became so moved by this, that I cried like a baby. I was so touched by the "awesomeness" of God. He let me know that He cared, and that He was listening. Amazing God that we serve. he never ceases to amaze me.

May God grant each one of you, His continuing love and support.

  19. The church is moving into a time of Psalms 91. I can't get it out of my mind. It never fails that when I speak or teach it makes its way in somewhere. I often tell our people that we must move into Psalms 91 if we are to flow in the deep sense of the Holy Spirit and keeps God's mighty hand of protection over each of us.

Glynda thank you for this site. It has become such a blessing to me. God bless you all.

  20. I heard last night the world is about to be turned right side up.
I believe many years ago the world was turned up side down by the Lord Jesus Christ in His apostles later it was turned back by what most now call the church or religon. Last night I heard this was all about to change. Things will be set right most will think this is the Devil and fight against it. It will be to no avail because God Himself is the one who is going to do this just like He did with the orignal apostles. it will be Christ in a people and no one will be able to stop it because God will be with them. This will begin almost whitin a week.

Silence Reaches The Throne Of God
My life at present flows on in peaceful awareness of God. My silent soul lives on Him, and this conscious life of God in my soul is for me a source of happiness and strength (Diary, 887).

† Silence is so powerful a language that it reaches the throne of the living God. Silence is His language, though secret, yet living and powerful (Diary, 888).

  23. When I mentioned this to my husband this morning his first comment was - "Oh, like the 30 minutes of silence in Revelation 8:1". The timing right at the beginning of the Biblical holidays and the feeling that many of us have that something very serious is coming does feel like a shadow of what that moment will be. God does not judge lightly - he is grieved at what He must do. I took my Kindle on vacation a couple of weeks ago and opened it to my Bible on morning to do my devotions. I had been reading at the beginning of Psalms so I thought I would keep reading there, but when I opened my Kindle it was on Psalm 91. My husband and I read and re-read Psalm 91 and 92 several times that morning - and I knew God meant for me to read that specific chapter. I don't know how it got to Psalm 91 - I have little kids so it could have been them too - but however it got there I knew God had wanted me to read it as well. May God Bless you all and keep you and make his face to shine upon you.

  24. And adding to my previous comment - I have several prophetic blogs I read - some I have been reading for 15 years, and they have all been basically silent the same period of time you have. I agree we should continue doing the last thing he told us - repent, pray and draw close to Him!

  25. Just to add to your comment there greenvalleyhsers; on the silence in Heaven for space of about half an hour. This is referring to the event when Satan and his angels are kicked out of Heaven, and he returns to earth as the Antichrist. His time here, known by most Christians as the "hour of temptation" is a period of time in which his evil spirit is allowed to be ramped-up for the first half of his temptation hour, and then he (antichrist) will be here, defacto, in the spirit body, disguised as Christ, for the second half. The second half, when he and is angels are gone from Heaven, will give peace and quiet to all in Heaven who have been putting up with his hell raising. That is the way I have understood it and I hope it helps with others wanting better understanding of Rev. 8:1...... Rev 12:7 ¶ And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,....Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ....Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night..... I may be wrong, but I think we shall soon see this event take place. Maranatha!

  26. My friend Linda wrote me and said this, which blessed me and I thought it would also bless all of you:

"I have been very touched by the messages that you have reiterated to us as He speaks to you. I, also, was anxiously going to your website every day, waiting for new words from the Lord. But as the time wore on and another one didn't appear, the Holy Spirit would question me, as to going back and rereading the last prophecy, because He wants so much for us to get it....to elaborate on it.... think about it, pray on it, get into our heart and soul, and be silent as He is silent, giving His words great importance....rather than reading, receiving, and going on to the next one, without giving each one enough time to settle into us and to totally get it into us and to DO as He says....not just love His words, but to take action....and not to take action for awhile, but to make Him our very life. I believe He really wants to wake us up....and if that means waiting...then so be it."

  27. As I read through the posts about God's silence I am reminded of a child learning to ride a bicycle. The parent holds up the bike the first several times as the child does the pedaling and gets their sense of balance. As the child's courage increases through practicing, the parent begins to let go and run along beside. Eventually, the parent stops, stands back and allows the child to ride on their own. Perhaps God is letting His Church ride on their own for a while.
