Show Me You Can Be Trusted

Freedom adds to the joy My people live in, for sin always brings bondage and chains them to their shame and sinful desires. I desire My people would live free of those chains and tormenting desires of the flesh and I offer this to each of My children freely through the precious Blood of My Son Jesus.

If you will accept My help, resist the devil and lay down your sins even as your flesh suffers, I shall set you free from those desires for it is within My power to help you desire more of Me and My ways but with that comes a mighty power. You must show Me you can be trusted with My power before I will allow you to walk in it.

There are some who desire My power for the glory and promotion of their own names, not Mine. Some who desire it to promote "their" ministries. Do you not know children that all ministry is done in My Name and to glorify Me only? If you glorify yourselves, you are not ministering for Me at all, but for your own purposes and this I will not honor or bless.

Some of you wonder that I have not promoted you as you expect, or as I showed you in dreams and visions long ago. This is the reason - you have left the path of My love, of tending My sheep, to make a name for yourselves. You desire to make your name great in the earth. One who seeks their own cannot be trusted with My great power or anointing. You forfeit the destiny I have shown you if you continue on the pathway of pride for in serving yourself, you serve the Evil One and not Me.

You cry, 'Where yet is my promotion, Lord? Where are all the blessings you showed me?'  The Evil One seeks to take those blessings, My child, and each time you give in to temptation and walk in his ways, you are giving them to him. It is not My choice for you. You choose your level of blessing with your response to each test, each tempting thought.

James 4:7:  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

John 8:34: Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Matthew 26:28: For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Isaiah 42:8: I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Thus you shall say to him, 'Thus says the LORD: Behold, what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land. 5 And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh, says the LORD. But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go. Jeremiah 45:4-5

  2. I cannot be trusted in anything, except what I can be trusted with. I can be trusted with everything, except that which I cannot be trusted.
The universe, the Self, the Supreme, Almighty God knows what I can be trusted with, and what I cannot be trusted with.
So, what I can and will succeed in responsibly, let me have that.
    Safe response, I think.

  3. Glynda,

I appreciate all of what you have shared and your posts have always encouraged me to walk closer with God.

What about those who are in obedience? Who have given up their fleshly desires and surrendered as much as they know how? What about those who have resisted the Devil and the World to be obedient to Christ Jesus.
Obviously we are all working towards having more of God and less of ourselves/sin every day. I am definitely not claiming that I have my Christian walked perfected.
But is there any words of encourage from the Father regarding those who are in obedience and waiting on His promises to be fulfilled?

    Thank you

  8. SunnyInSeattle,

I'm right there with you. I'm ready to reap a good harvest. But know that God has purpose in the delay. In fact, I believe his greater work is being done in quietness, when our faith is tested. It doesn't seem like joy, which is why we are reminded to count it as joy. (James 1:1-3) The treasure of God is a heart that waits quietly and confidently. (Is. 30:15) It's called strength because where our strength ends, that's where God's strength begins.

"For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed." (Is. 50:7)

While the mob thrashes about in anger over what they perceive with their eyes, the heart of God's servant is quiet, confident, steadfast; he sees God's work through eyes of faith.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Gal 6:9)

  9. Thanks Drew for the wisdom.

But it doesnt changed the emotional weariness of those who are still fighting to hold onto God's promises. Boy I dislike this stage, this is where God is pretty silent while life just keeps rolling.

I've been holding onto a promise that was given four years ago to me, and ten years for a separate promise to my parents.

I'm sure you all know that holding on and waiting till marriage isn't easy. I've seen most of my peers forsake God insearch for sexually immorality while I ran to God. I'm just worn-out from Satan pestering me to give-up and give-in. God seems to just sit there and make promises that seem decades from now.

I'm right there with you. This is the worst part of the ride it seems. How can it not be? It's always the darkest before the dawn. I've been thru enough in the "waiting for a mate" trial/wilderness, but it continues. Seeing the writing on the wall for the end of "normal" life as we know it only increases the anxiety.

If we're about to start the trib, then there's only a very short time left. Is that short time worth the wait? How can others so easily receive while some seem almost locked up from receiving? I ask the same things. The enemy is using our heart's desire and "time" against us. Our Father is above both. I'll pray for you. May He comfort you and bless you abundantly!

  11. there are the promises, and He who made and completes the promises. In hebrews is told how those saw the promises from afar and believed and confessed but didn't receive them, knew it was for a future gen. and perfecting of things and the thought isn't that we won't receive them but how did they -go onward? how would/what would they do?, seeing the promises but knowing it's for later etc?..but go on as they had started, loving God and believing and following as they had started.

don't know if it applies or how but maybe worth a thought but when I was 1st saved I loved so and sought and grew and learned and followed, then had an injury..still loved and sought, but remember I started to focus more and look at healing promises too..over time looked more often at those and less often at just loving Him, worship and praise became prayers of asking more often, then asking and wondering. A focus change. Rungs on a ladder of importance, top rung Him, 3rd rung promises for this life, went from looking to top and Him to looking at 3rdish rung more often. Became tired inside. then one day thought, what happened to just loving and drawing to Him, for Him and all He is and does. So did that, changed what my focus was on back to Him above all..back in love. Then wasn't tired anymore, and then was shown some effective prayers for healing and more and all things got better although some things are still the same, they are now lightweight..better. So I dunno, I got mis-focused. I've tried to imagine abraham waiting all those yrs having believed the promise..meanwhile he must of done what he did from the beginning, loved and looked to and sought after the Lord for the Lord. Paul asked to have a thorn removed and was told the Lords grace is sufficient, so what to do, but do what did from the beginning, love and draw near the Lord focusing on Him above all. his situation didn't change, but near to the Lord, the load is lighter.
And no that's not saying we won't receive the promises..more how do we wait. what can I do but do what was from the beginning, love and draw to Him focused on Him strongly and not ..staying..my thoughts to long..on the issue but straight away give it to Him and go onward. yeah when I was tired I used to stay my thoughts on the issue for along time..mull it over and examine everything about it..what a mountain it was! now it's barely seen. And physically functional again..in way's I am healed, to the degree He wanted, the remaining keeps me focused on Him to do anything.

anyway I know it doesn't apply to your promises, it's either fully married or no, unlike functionally healed or fully healed, but maybe something helps within all that. Praying for both your strength in the Lord and in these times.
